Inspiring and touching story

As a speech therapist, I’ve worked in schools in the past with children who stutter, and I know they would benefit tremendously from hearing this story. Quite honestly, I felt the message was relevant to adults as well! What a timely and appropriate reminder to not only accept our differences, but to own them. What’s more, you highlight how powerful it can be to actively speak up about the way other people’s reactions to our circumstances can make us feel. You really demonstrated how courage and vulnerability can transform a relationship. It’s such a simple example (and honestly something children probably do better than adults) but a crucial one to keep in mind.

Thanks you for your vulnerability in sharing this story and being a voice for those who haven’t yet worked up the courage 🙂

I received my copy of Alizah’s Story: I Stutter. It was signed by the Author herself with a special note for me her former elementary school science teacher. I am very proud of Shanah K . Hobson
